Register at id.skyen.live/register and verify your email. The free plan includes one Bluesky handle.

Find your DID in the Bluesky app

Your DID is your permanent Bluesky identity — it looks like did:plc:abc123…

  1. ① Open the Bluesky app (bsky.app or mobile)
  2. ② Go to Settings → Change handle
  3. ③ Tap "I have my own domain"
  4. ④ Select the "No DNS Panel" tab
  5. ⑤ Copy the DID shown — it starts with did:plc:

Add your handle on Skyen.live

Back on Skyen.live, go to your dashboard and add the handle.

  1. ① Go to Dashboard → Bluesky Handles → Add handle
  2. ② Enter your chosen subdomain (e.g. yourname)
  3. ③ Choose your preferred domain from the dropdown (.skyen.live or .nordra.me)
  4. ④ Paste your DID into the DID field
  5. ⑤ Click "Create handle"

Verify in Bluesky

Back in Bluesky, complete the verification.

  1. ① In the Bluesky "Enter the domain" field, type your full new handle — e.g. yourname.skyen.live
  2. ② Click "Verify Text File"
  3. ③ Bluesky confirms — click "Save"
✅ That's it! Your Bluesky profile now shows @yourname.skyen.live — verified with a checkmark.

Is it really free?

Do I need to own a domain?

No — that's the whole point. Skyen.live provides the domain. You just pick a subdomain name.

What if my preferred name is taken?

Try a variation, or use a different domain — the same name might be available on .nordra.me even if it's taken on .skyen.live.

Can I change my handle later?

Yes. Remove the old handle from your Skyen.live dashboard, add a new one, then update it in Bluesky. Your DID (permanent identity) stays the same.

How many handles can I have?

The free plan includes 1. Paid plans include up to 15. You can have handles on different domains simultaneously.
